The National Coordination Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, based in Bucharest, Piața Revoluției no. 1A, sector 1, runs, starting from 27.08.2024, the project " improving the exchange of information, preparation and assurance of integrated management for the resilience of critical infrastructures/entities (MeCAT )", project code IS10A_02, financed from the National Program 2021-2027 Internal Security.
The total eligible value of the project (with VAT) is 4,805,447 lei, the FEN allocation percentage being 100%.
Non-reimbursable financing is provided from the National Internal Security Program - www. fed. mai. gov. ro, based on the financing decision concluded with the Internal Affairs Management Authority, Non-Reimbursable External Funds Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The general objective of the project : Modernization, consolidation and provision of technical assistance to the APOLODOR and INSERT components of the existing IT system in order to ensure the training of the target group for the management of risks, crises and incidents to the security of national critical infrastructures and critical entities, testing the viability of security plans, as well as facilitating the exchange of information relevant to the field of protection of critical infrastructures and the field of resilience of critical entities.
The purpose of the project :   This project is meant to integrate, adapt, complete with new facilities and modernize the already existing components in the form of a single solution, more accessible and aligned with current legislative and technological developments.
Target group: staff from specialized departments at the level of responsible public authorities designated according to GD no. 35/2019 (ministries, agencies, national authorities, services, etc.) and from the level of ICN owners/operators/administrators designated according to HG no. 1198/2012.
The results of the project aim :
  • The development of a communication mechanism, by integrating, adapting, modernizing and providing technical assistance to existing systems in the form of a single solution, more accessible and aligned with current technological and legislative developments, as well as the development of new facilities;
  • Purchase of equipment (TEMPEST and Upgrade APOLODOR video peripheral solution).
The project runs for a period of 24 months from the date of signing the financing decision, between 27.08.2024 and 26.08.2026.
