on April 26, 2024, the international seminar "Ensuring the security of critical infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova - from protection to resilience" was held in Chisinau. The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) of Romania, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and the EU Partnership Mission for the Republic of Moldova.
This activity was attended by over 50 representatives of central public institutions from the Republic of Moldova, members of the inter-institutional working group dedicated to critical infrastructures, as well as partner institutions from Romania - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The National Critical Infrastructure Protection Coordination Center within the Ministry of Internal Affairs , the Special Telecommunications Service, as well as of international partners – the European Commission (DG HOME), the EU Partnership Mission in the Republic of Moldova (EUPM), the USA, the Federal Republic of Germany, Albania, the NATO Center of Excellence for Energy Security in Vilnius and the European Center of Excellence for Combating Hybrid Threats in Helsinki.
On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Luminița Odobescu conveyed the importance of decisive and quick actions on the path of European integration and increasing the resilience of the Republic of Moldova in the face of new threats. He highlighted Romania's support for increasing the response capacities of the Republic of Moldova, with an emphasis on the operationalization of the newly created agencies and the consolidation of coordination mechanisms at the strategic and operational level.
