Internal security fund FSI is established for the period 2014-2020 to contribute to ensuring a high level of security in the Union and to contribute to ensuring a high level of security within the Union, while facilitating, at the same time, travel for legitimate purposes, through uniform and high-quality external border control and effective processing of Schengen visas, respecting the Union's commitments on fundamental freedoms and human rights..
