Internal security fund FSI is established for the period 2014-2020 to contribute to ensuring a high level of security in the Union and to contribute to ensuring a high level of security within the Union, while facilitating, at the same time, travel for legitimate purposes, through uniform and high-quality external border control and effective processing of Schengen visas, respecting the Union's commitments on fundamental freedoms and human rights..

The European Commission made a selection of projects implemented at the level of the Member States with the help  Internal security fund.

The Romanian projects presented in the e-book are:

  • FSI – Police: Increasing the intervention capacity of the Romanian police in combating terrorism (RO/2016/PR/0008)
  • FSI – Frontiere Vize: Construction of the new headquarters for Isaccea Border Police Sector, Tulcea County (RO/2016/PR/0019)
